Johnsons Convenience Store is a local business with deep roots in our community and a legacy built by the late Ramesh Patel, a much-loved figure in Colchester.
Mr. Patel, who sadly passed away was a true community stalwart. After being forced to flee Uganda during a time of political unrest, he rebuilt his life in Lexden through determination, resilience, and hard work. Over the course of 43 years, he made Johnsons Convenience Store a cornerstone of the local area, not only serving residents but also giving back through initiatives such as supporting the local area.
His kindness, commitment, and generosity made him a cherished figure in Colchester. His legacy continues through his son Hamesh, who now runs the family business and carries forward the same values his father stood for.
